Dear You,

Let me tell you a little bit about me.

I am a senior graduating from the  College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida.  I have lived in Gainesville for the past four years, but I am originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 

I love to write, though I do not have any desire to become a reporter. I am a fan of literary journalism, and don’t mind spending leisurely Sunday afternoons reading a good book. 

I am a nerd – a stickler for grammar! I am the resume/personal statement editing QUEEN! I love to work, rework and play with words.

When I grow up, I want to work in communications/internal communications at the corporate level, but my life’s dream is pretty modest – I want to become an English teacher and advise a yearbook at the middle/high school level. One day, I might even be a principal.

I am Mama Mel to my friends, Missa to my niece and nephew and the Boss to my fiance. (I wish!)

I am a planner. I make lists. I am organized. I am not the best at communicating my feelings, but I am honest.

I am a goal-oriented, ambitious, caring,  family-oriented young woman. I have big dreams and high hopes for my life, and hope that this blog gives you some good ideas, food for thought and a good laugh.
